A new WHO study reveals that the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), commonly spread through saliva, significantly increases cancer risk. Tracking nearly 74,000 individuals in southern China, researchers found that those with EBV antibodies were five times more likely to develop cancer, particularly nasopharyngeal cancer.
