The European Commission has concluded that Apple must provide free interoperability for developers and businesses with its iOS features, as part of a probe under the Digital Markets Act. The inquiry, initiated last September, aims to ensure compatibility with third-party devices and enhance transparency. The Commission believes this will foster innovation and competition, supported by the CODE coalition. Apple, however, argues that sharing its system details could harm innovation and user privacy.
