Turkish archaeologists uncovered a fresco of a Roman-looking Jesus as the 'Good Shepherd' in an underground tomb near Iznik, dating back to the 3rd century. This significant find reflects early Christian art and the transition from paganism to Christianity. The fresco is noted for its Roman attributes and is considered one of the best-preserved examples in Anatolia.
