Azerbaijan has launched a new train route connecting Ganja with Gabala, enhancing access to a key tourist destination known for skiing and nature. The service, operated by Azerbaijan Railways, began on January 12, 2026, and aims to promote sustainable transport and regional tourism. The route covers 139 km with a travel time of about 1 hour 50 minutes, offering four classes of service.
