Azerbaijan is enhancing the use of domestically developed remote-controlled demining machines to expedite humanitarian clearance in former conflict zones. These unmanned systems, produced by ImProtex and operated by ANAMA, are crucial for addressing the landmine issue that poses significant humanitarian and security challenges. The machines allow for safer and faster clearance of contaminated areas, supporting reconstruction and the return of displaced communities. Azerbaijan is also sharing its expertise internationally, including assistance to Ukraine. Despite progress, landmines remain a global challenge, necessitating long-term collaboration and investment.
