Bence Retvari, speaking at the National Police headquarters, praised volunteer civil guards for their contributions to public safety in Hungary, especially amid rising illegal migration. He noted a significant decrease in crime rates since 2010, attributing this success to the collaboration between police and civil guards. Retvari highlighted the civil guards' expanded roles in border and environmental protection and recognized the leadership of Andras Turos. Awards were presented to 80 individuals for their service.
