Denisz Smihal, the Ukrainian Prime Minister, submitted his resignation via a handwritten statement on Telegram. He expressed gratitude to the defenders of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky, and his team for their tireless work. His resignation leads to the dismissal of the entire government, although the law states that the cabinet cannot be dismissed during martial law. Zelensky proposed Julija Svyrydenko to lead the government in Smihal's place. Smihal is suggested to become the defense minister, while current defense minister Rustem Umerov is expected to be appointed as the American ambassador. The parliament is set to vote on the government's dismissal and the new cabinet's appointment soon. Teljes cikk (Telex.hu)
