Fifteen people were killed during a Hanukkah festival at Bondi Beach, Sydney, by two gunmen: Sajid Akram, 50, who died in a shootout, and his son Naveed, 24, who is in critical condition. Both had connections to the Islamic State and were found with explosives. Sajid had a gun license and was a member of a gun club. Naveed had previously attracted the attention of authorities but was not charged. The attack is under investigation, with police focusing on their rental property and family home.
