Fernando Botero's first work, 'La Plegaria', is returning to the art market at an auction in Bogotá, almost three years after his death. The watercolour, created in 1949, depicts an elderly peasant praying and is considered a formative piece in Botero's career. The auction will feature over 120 works of modern and contemporary Colombian and Latin American art, including pieces by other notable artists.
