British Petroleum (BP) and Japan's JERA have formed a joint venture to create a major offshore wind business, investing up to $5.8bn by 2030. This marks a shift in BP's approach to renewable energy, as they previously pledged $10bn for renewable projects. The new entity, JERA Nex bp, aims to focus on existing projects in North-West Europe, Australia, and Japan.
