She was arrested in Bali with 3.8 kg of cocaine and claimed she was coerced by a gang. Another British prisoner, Shahab Shahabadi, will also return to the UK. The repatriation deal was signed by British Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper and Indonesian Senior Minister Yusril Ihza Mahendra, citing humanitarian grounds for Sandiford's release due to her serious illness.
