His lawyer suggests he testify via remote hearing from Budapest or Brussels due to allegations of founding and leading a criminal organization during his tenure. Ziobro is accused of embezzling over 150 million złoty from a victim assistance fund and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted. He was previously taken by police for testimony related to the Pegasus spyware investigation. His lawyer claims he has no permanent residence in Poland and currently resides in Brussels and Budapest.
