Eight EU member states have had their plans approved to use their share of a €150 billion defence loan scheme. The countries include Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, Portugal, and Romania, collectively accessing around €38 billion. The initiative, part of the SAFE program, aims to enhance defence procurement with a focus on European-made equipment.
