The European Commission has allocated €175.3 billion for Horizon Europe in its 2028-2034 budget, increasing from €93.5 billion. Horizon Europe will be part of the new €410 billion European Competitiveness Fund (ECF) aimed at enhancing EU competitiveness in key sectors. The fund includes €54.8 billion for the digital transition and is structured into four sectors.
