A recent ILGA Europe report reveals that nearly 25% of EU citizens have faced conversion practices, with Greece reporting the highest exposure at 38%. These harmful practices, which falsely claim to change sexual orientation or gender identity, include various forms of abuse. Trans, non-binary, and intersex individuals are particularly affected. The EU loses €89 million annually due to discrimination based on sexual orientation. A resolution from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe calls for a ban on these practices and better support for victims. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
