Daniel Joggi, a lifelong skiing enthusiast, became quadriplegic after a ski accident but can now ski again thanks to a new spinal cord implant developed by Swiss neuroscientists. The implant helps regulate blood pressure, allowing him to use a specially adapted sit-ski. Other patients, like Julie Verlinden, have also benefited from the device, which has significantly improved their quality of life.
