The European Commission is not considering a pause in the implementation of the AI Act, despite calls for it from various stakeholders, including Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. Yvo Volman, a Commission official, emphasized the focus on practical implementation of the rules. The AI Act, which governs AI tools based on their societal risks, is set to be gradually enforced starting in 2024.
