EU flag displayed on building of Hungarian Parliament again

Ágnes Forsthoffer, the new House Speaker, reinstated the EU flag at the Hungarian Parliament after 12 years, symbolizing Hungary's commitment to the EU. Her announcement was met with silence from Fidesz, KDNP, and Mi Hazánk. The return of the flag marks a significant gesture towards EU relations, following Hungary's acceptance into the EU 22 years ago. The former Speaker, László Kövér, had previously removed the flag in 2014 and did not display it during Hungary's EU presidency in 2024.
