The European Union and India have signed a landmark free trade agreement (FTA), marking the largest bilateral trade pact in history. The deal aims to reduce tariffs significantly, with India eliminating duties on 96.6% of EU goods and the EU liberalizing 99.5% of its tariff lines on Indian imports. This agreement is expected to enhance economic cooperation, support job creation, and provide better access for European agri-food products to the Indian market. The FTA will undergo legal revisions before ratification by both parties. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
