A group of ten EU member states believes the European Commission's goal of achieving a 20% global market share in microchips by 2030 is unrealistic. They are calling for a revision of this target in the upcoming Chips Act 2.0, citing a report from the European Court of Auditors that suggests the EU is unlikely to meet its current goals due to insufficient investments and global competition.
