New car registrations in the EU fell by 6.1% in September, primarily due to declines in Italy, France, and Germany. Italy's registrations dropped by 10.7%, France by 11.1%, and Germany by 7%. In contrast, Spain saw a 6.3% increase. For the first nine months, Germany and France both experienced a 1% decline, while Italy's registrations rose by 2.1%. Battery electric vehicle registrations increased by 9.8% in September, but overall battery vehicle market volume fell by 5.8% for the year.
