The EU economy ministers agreed to end the €150 customs duty exemption for parcels from non-EU countries, impacting Chinese e-commerce platforms like Shein and Temu. This decision aims to ensure fair competition and protect EU businesses, as 91% of small parcels come from China. The EU will implement customs duties on all goods entering the EU, with a temporary system expected by December. Italy is also introducing measures to protect its fashion industry from cheaper Chinese imports. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
