EU Commissioner Hadja Lahbib expressed a lack of political will within the European Commission to act against Hungary's anti-Pride legislation. László Sebián-Petrovszki confirmed discussions regarding the bill on transparency and advised Pride organizers to reconsider their plans. Despite the passing of a law that could ban Pride events, a small march for LGBTQ rights occurred. MEPs have called for temporary measures to protect Budapest Pride, but the European Commission has not yet acted.
