The European Commission has taken Czechia, Cyprus, Poland, Portugal, and Spain to the EU’s highest court for not properly applying the Digital Services Act (DSA), which aims to protect users from illegal online content. The countries failed to empower their national authorities to oversee the DSA, and the Commission initiated infringement procedures in early 2024. Bulgaria is also facing action for similar failures. Investigations into major platforms like X, TikTok, and Meta are ongoing. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
