Robert Fico, the Slovak Prime Minister, held a press conference on Monday, expressing support for Ukraine's EU membership aspirations, contingent on the country meeting all necessary conditions. He noted that Slovakia has received 101 million euros in EU funds for energy and infrastructure projects in Ukraine, which Slovak companies can use as loans guaranteed by European institutions. Fico is open to further discussions with Ukraine in the fall regarding these projects and emphasized that Ukraine's EU membership would bring more opportunities than negatives. Teljes cikk (24.hu)
