French Culture Minister Rachida Dati has proposed an entrance fee for Notre Dame cathedral to fund maintenance of aging religious buildings in France. The proposal aims to raise €75 million annually for repairs, with support from the Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau. Dati also suggests adjusting pricing for visitors from outside the EU.
