A 20-year-old inmate, Elyazid A, escaped from a detention facility near Lyon by hiding in a fellow detainee's luggage but was arrested three days later in Sathonay-Camp. He was in pre-trial detention for murder and firearms offences. The escape was unusual, requiring no external help.
