In the first half of 2025, asylum applications in Germany decreased significantly, with 65,495 applications reported, a 43% drop from the previous year. Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and CDU MEP Lena Düpont view this decline as a success of migration policy, attributing it to partnerships with North African countries and cooperation with Frontex. Spain and France surpassed Germany in asylum applications, while Hungary received only 47 applications. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
