UN officials and leaders from 32 landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) gathered in Awaza, Turkmenistan, to adopt a 10-year roadmap aimed at addressing geographic challenges. The Awaza Programme of Action (2024–2034) focuses on enhancing trade, infrastructure, climate resilience, and digital access. The conference highlighted Turkmenistan's role as a neutral diplomatic partner and a bridge between regions, with the EU supporting the initiative to align with its own development strategies. The success of the programme will depend on effective implementation to benefit over 500 million people in LLDCs. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
