The Astara Border Crossing between Iran and Azerbaijan has experienced increased traffic as foreign nationals seek to escape Tehran amid US and Israeli attacks. The Azerbaijani government opened the crossing to facilitate the evacuation of its nationals and allow foreign transit. Reports indicate that around 500 Russians and other foreign nationals, including a Pakistani family, have crossed into Azerbaijan.
