Hungarian government requests EU's military development loan, although they alone didn’t vote for it

Hungarian Minister of Economy Márton Nagy announced that Hungary will request a €20 billion loan from the EU's military procurement programme, SAFE. The EU plans to provide up to €150 billion in loans to member states, but Hungary previously abstained from voting in favor of SAFE. The Hungarian Parliament has expressed opposition to joint European borrowing, citing concerns over the European debt union.
