Hungary has challenged the EU regulation banning Russian energy imports in the European Court of Justice, as stated by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó. The regulation, which prohibits EU member states from purchasing Russian crude oil and natural gas by 2027, was published recently. Szijjártó emphasized that without Russian energy, Hungary's energy security and utility cost reductions are at risk. The lawsuit may take one to two years. The regulation was adopted by 24 of the 27 EU member states, with Hungary and Slovakia opposing it. Teljes cikk (Telex.hu)
