Budapest will host the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States on May 20–21. Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto emphasized Hungary's strong and beneficial relationships with Turkic countries, highlighting the strategic importance of this cooperation for Hungary's energy policy. He noted that Hungary's eastern opening has provided a competitive edge over Western Europe, and partnerships with Turkic nations have proven advantageous economically and in energy security.
