Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced the reintroduction of fuel price caps in Hungary due to rising international fuel prices caused by the war in Iran and the Ukrainian oil blockade. The capped prices will be 595 forints for gasoline and 615 forints for diesel, applicable only to Hungarian vehicles and individuals. The government will also reduce excise taxes and ban the export of certain fuels. Orbán emphasized the need to prevent price increases and called for a review of sanctions on Russian energy. The situation is exacerbated by disruptions in oil supplies from the Middle East. Teljes cikk (Telex.hu)
