A new study suggests that long-term exposure to Trichloroethylene (TCE), a banned chemical in the EU, may increase the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease in the US. The study analyzed data from nearly 222,000 older adults diagnosed with Parkinson’s and found a 10% higher risk for those with the highest TCE exposure. While the findings indicate a correlation, they do not prove causation. The study highlights the need for stronger regulations on industrial pollutants. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
