Cannes is implementing strict regulations on cruise ships, banning those with over 1,000 passengers from its harbour starting January 2026, in response to overtourism. The city aims for fewer, smaller, and less polluting vessels. Mayor David Lisnard emphasized the need for regulation rather than an outright ban.
