The George Enescu International Festival has commenced in Romania, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the composer's death. Over four weeks, more than 4,000 musicians will perform 100 concerts across various cities, including Bucharest. Artistic director Cristian Măcelaru emphasizes the importance of sharing Enescu's music alongside other composers.
