Libya's military chief of staff, General Mohammed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad, died in a plane crash shortly after takeoff from Ankara. The crash occurred due to a technical malfunction, resulting in no survivors among the seven people on board. The plane was returning from defense talks in Turkey. An investigation is underway.
