Hungary's government has initiated a national petition to strengthen its position in EU debates, opposing financing for the Russia–Ukraine war and rejecting higher utility prices. Prime Minister Viktor Orban emphasized that Ukraine should remain outside the EU to avoid risks of war. The petition allows Hungarians to voice their opposition to financial commitments related to Ukraine, which the government argues could have serious economic consequences. The petition is set to start in early February. Teljes cikk (Magyarnemzet)
