Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian president, announced that the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) received an eight-day extension before U.S. sanctions take effect. Despite previous extensions, Serbia has not complied with the removal of Russian capital. The Gazpromneft's stake has decreased while Gazprom's has increased. Vucic expressed gratitude to the U.S. for the extension but warned that Serbia will still face the same issues post-deadline, particularly concerning banking operations and employee salaries.
