Measles cases in Europe surged nearly tenfold in a year, with 1,097 cases reported in March 2025. Romania had the highest cases (397), followed by France (161), the Netherlands (95), and Italy (60). Nine EU countries reported no cases. In 2024, over 35,000 cases were diagnosed, resulting in 23 deaths. Measles is highly infectious and can lead to severe complications.
