Meta has improved its AI tool MetaAI but is under scrutiny from the Irish Data Protection Authority (DPA) and must report back in October. The tool, launched in the US in September 2023, will use public data from Facebook and Instagram in the EU. The DPA requires Meta to implement transparency measures and compile a report on data processing safeguards by October 2025.
