Heavy snowstorms have severely affected life in the Balkans, particularly in Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. Over 200,000 homes in northwestern Bosnia lost power, heating, and water services. Some towns were completely isolated, and local businesses and schools shut down.
