Tashkent's first permanent Centre for Contemporary Arts will open on March 21, 2026, transforming a former industrial power station into a cultural hub for Uzbekistan. Initiated by Gayane Umerova, the centre aims to foster contemporary art and a creative economy. The architectural design by Studio KO incorporates local materials and modern elements. Dr. Sara Raza serves as the Artistic Director, promoting dialogue among diverse audiences.
