A Finnish court sentenced Simon Ekpa, a Nigerian secessionist leader, to six years in prison for terrorism-related offenses, including promoting Biafra's independence through illegal means and supplying armed groups. Ekpa, a former councillor in Lahti, denied the charges. The court found he engaged in illegal activities from August 2021 to November 2024 and incited violence via social media. The Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob), which he was associated with, is banned in Nigeria, and its leader is facing terrorism charges. Teljes cikk (bbc.com europe)
