New research indicates that male sexual desire peaks at 40, contrary to the belief that it is highest in the 20s. A study from the University of Tartu analyzed data from over 67,000 adults and found that men's libidos increase until their early 40s before gradually declining. The study highlights the influence of social and relational factors on desire, as well as the differences in female sexual desire, which peaks between 20 and 30 and declines significantly after 50.
