A rare stone tablet inscribed with the Ten Commandments sold for $5 million at a Sotheby’s auction. Weighing 52 kilos and dating from 300 to 800 A.D., it is the only complete example of its kind. Originally discovered in 1913, it was used as a paving stone before its significance was recognized. The buyer plans to donate it to an Israeli institution.
