The remains of at least 30 individuals believed to have been executed by the Islamic State have been found in northern Syria, following a search led by Qatari teams and the FBI. The remains were discovered in Dabiq, near the Turkish border. The Islamic State controlled parts of Syria and Iraq for nearly five years and was responsible for numerous abductions and killings, including American journalists and humanitarian workers.
