In July 1974, the Turkish invasion of Cyprus halted operations at Nicosia airport, leaving a Cyprus Airways aircraft abandoned. Over 50 years later, a bicommunal initiative led by Greek and Turkish Cypriots, including Alexis Sophocleous, aims to restore the aircraft into a museum.
