Up to 15 tauros, a breed of wild cattle, will be reintroduced to Scotland's Highlands by 2026 to restore biodiversity, store carbon, and enhance eco-tourism. Led by Trees for Life, the project aims to replicate the ecological role of the extinct aurochs. Tauros, bred from ancient cattle, will contribute to habitat creation and species diversity. While there are concerns about their safety, they are expected to be placid towards humans. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
